WHAT WE DO → SMART BIO-CPS
SMART BIO-CPS PROGRAM
BITS BioCyTiH Foundation launched its flagship funding program, Strategic Market Advancement of Ready-to-go Technology Products in Bio-CPS (SMART Bio-CPS), as a unique funding initiative to identify and support mature, market-ready technologies and products in Bio-CPS from Indian Start-up and MSME for an intensely accelerated market advancement within a period of 6-9 months.
This program supports two categories of projects viz. SMART Bio-CPS & Mini SMART Bio-CPS :
Category 1 SMART Bio-CPS:
Strategic funding support for accelerated market launch of matured technologies and products in Bio-CPS or augmentation of matured products with CPS technology components.
The minimum Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) for entry of technologies & products under this category is ≥TRL-7 that are poised to market in next 6-9 months.
Products which are already in the market (TRL-8/9) and require addition of a critical CPS technology component to enhance their functionalities are also provided support in this category.
Total project cost is capped at INR 40.00 Lakhs.
Category 2 Mini SMART Bio-CPS:
Targeted funding support to achieve a “critical step” for Bio-CPS technologies at ≥ TRL-3 (Proof of Concept) to demonstrate a functional prototype (TRL-4) and beyond within a period of 4-6 months.
Total project support is capped at INR 10.00 Lakhs.
First Call for Proposals under SMART Bio-CPS:
First call for proposals was launched on 24th September 2022 until 5th November 2022 & invited proposals for technology development in Bio-CPS in the area of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR), Neonatal critical care, Chronic Wound Care Management, Post-Harvest Management, Hospital Waste Management, Bedside molecular diagnostics and Early on-field detection of crop infestation
Second Call for Proposals under SMART Bio-CPS:
Second call for proposal was launched on 26th January 2023 and is open for receiving applications until 15th February 2023.
Third Call for Proposals under SMART Bio-CPS:
Third call for proposal was launched on 28th April 2023 and is open for receiving applications until 15th May 2023.
